Looks like another "Chucko Inferno " success!! Tri Tip looks killer, I've got one in the refer ready to go on my Q300 w/GrillGrates later tonite when my wife comes home. Going to have to experiment with the "Inferno" method before I'm brave enough to put actual meat on!!

Tri tip looks like it's cooked just the way I like it, and a side of sausage must accompany it perfectly. Your granddad had it going on!

Yes, the lid off and the door off. If you leave one or the other on, the fire can smolder and that would result in choking smoke

Thanks everyone for the kind words, Pappa died 50 years ago (within a day or two of Walt Disney) I miss him to this day.
