Looks pretty darn good for an early first generationThat one is a true survivor. Ones of that vintage are getting pretty hard to find still intact.
I have gotten some pretty brittle ones out that looked far worse for the wear but have yet to try on a fatty. Are they held in similarly to the narrow ones?Those white walls won't survive being pulled off to recondition the wheel and reinstalled. But the wheels are worth having and getting new inserts.
I've taken them out quite carefully I don't think it's possible to reuse them unless you glue them back in or something hokey like that.
