I will just leave this here

It's made by Grand Hall in China or Taiwan. Exact same grill Sam's sold as a Bakers and Chefs except in the Sams version not as much external stainless. Not a bad cooking grill but not all that great either

Stefan,

That certainly has potential! For $28 you could at least give it a try. I would buy it if it were in my locale.

The bottom line is that these are really powerful grills which can also double and do two zone low-n-slow bbq. That one is the "3" model, the larger version. Bigger than a Genesis for sure, but not huge like a Summit. The burner will set you back close to a hundred. It is hard to find the original larger size burner like it appears to have now. Broilmaster now just sells the smaller size for both grills. If you search, though, you can sometimes find an old OEM larger burner. Looks like the cast iron grates could be salvaged. They can be set at any of three different heights, so you can actually have even THREE grilling zones. Most likely, you will need some other parts. It can get pricey if you need too many, but they are available from all kinds of sources. I got some of mine on eBay and several on-line suppliers. If you are hoping to flip, I think you will need to be prepared for a slow sell.

These grills don't attract attention because, truthfully, they are very homely and dated looking. But they ARE well built, made in USA solid grills that have been around for decades. The one you are looking at looks like it has the cheaper non-stainless base, but the body of the grill is all cast aluminum - pretty thick at that.

Here are a number of my posts about my Broilmaster experiences. You might want to breeze through them for some idea. I still wish I could grab that one!

Yah Stefan, that's a nice find and that grill has lots of potential as we saw what Jon did with the one (or 2) that he rehabbed.

Notice the paint marks on the cement right next to the wheels. You must have just finished painting it

Type in "Free Grill" into the search function on FB Marketplace for your area. I did that and found a lot of Chineseum grills but not one weber.

I noticed something interesting while in Costco today:

https://www.costco.com/Nexgrill-Cast-Aluminum-Table-Top-Gas-BBQ.product.100384628.html

From a distance I almost thought it was a Q for a second. Looked at it up close briefly - definitely "inspired" by the Q. The cookbox and lid were aluminum just like the Q. It was up on the shelf so a bit hard to examine, but the cast iron grates seemed similar to the Q as well. Hard to tell if other parts were steel that would eventually rust. Handle etc. were plastic, probably lower quality but hard to tell. The video on Costco's site highlights the burners as being 304 stainless too.

But, it would probably be pretty difficult to convince a casual buyer that this one is much different than a Q1200 for $60 less - and it might even be closer in size to the Q2000.

I was curious because I gifted a Q1200 to my parents for them to use when they're in Florida and got to use it when we visited them a few weeks ago. I liked it a lot and am now on the lookout for one myself.

It is slightly smaller in cooking surface than a Q2000, it has 13000 BTU vs 1200 BTU for the Q2000. The price is significantly less than that of a Q2000 but I would be skeptical that it is nearly as dependable. Two burners, two knobs, two igniters and cheesy looking controls. Also, it looks like you don't have the option of using 1lb cylinders either which makes the "portability" part of it a lot less attractive. Then you have to realize that replacement parts are probably not going to be readily available like they are for Weber grills.
I don't really understand why there is not more knock off grills based on the Weber Q platform.

Again, give me a decent used Q2000 for $50 and for another $80, you could have a basically brand new Q2000 for the same price.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want it - if nothing else it just doesn't have as nice of a look as a Q. I'm going to go the used route for sure if I get a Q.

But yeah, it certainly seems like Nexgrill is closing the gap a bit with that model. The specs specifically call out 304 stainless burners and 7mm grates - it made me think that maybe Nexgrill has been reading this site!
