I will just leave this here

Now that is a weird little Weber. Looks like someone used the lower bowl of a Weber Smokey Mountain Smoker and converted it into a pizza grill.
And the Pizza attachment is the Pizzaque. Not the Kettlepizza version. The Pizzaque is a lot cheaper and cost about $70. I have the same one on one of my kettles.

Stefan, how does that Pizzaque work do you use it in a dedicated kettle? I had come across this older thread where Robert had built a rack with the theory of getting the Pizza higher up in the kettle so that there would be less risk of burning the bottom and getting both top and bottom done at the same time.

The Pizzaque ring actually moves the stone above the height of the kettle rim. You don't use the regular grate with the Pizzaque ring. The main reason is actually that you can slide the pizza in and out through the front opening and that there is no drop down step inside the grill.
I am not sure however the height makes a difference with the heat since you are supposed to have the coal/wood around the stone and not under the stone.
And yes I have one kettle I am using as dedicated Pizza kettle. I just have too many accessories (pizza ring, slow'n sear, vortex, rotisserie ring, ...) and don't want to swap them all the time depending on application.

Stefan, thanks for the info I only have a performer so that is why I was looking at what Robert did but not sure I want to put that kind of heat in it. The separate kettle sounds like a better idea. Are you happy with the Pizzaque?

Yes so far I am. It does its job. The SS mesh to use a guide to keep the coals on the outside is a bit flimsy. I have re-enforced that by using an old set charcoal baskets on the inside. And there is a small compatibility issue with the performer or with any kettle that has the tuck away lid holder. The bolts from the rollers protruding on the inside of the kettle interfere with the pizza ring. You would either need to remove the lid holder or use a tool such as a Dremel and cut two notches in the pizza ring.
So far I am using it on a kettle which does not have the tuck away lid holder.

But I am looking for a used kettlepizza as well. I need a second pizza ring so that I can make two pizzas at the same time and I want to compare which of these is actually better and if the kettlepizza also has the same issue with bolts from the lid holder. I could buy a new one but I am not really willing to spend $150.

Good looking pizza in there. I was aware of the problem with removing the bolts that is why I asked if you used a separate kettle along with really not sure I want my performer to be altered by removing the bolts and then putting them back in during a normal cook.

I got one heck of a deal on four “Pizzaque” sets a couple of years ago, last fall I got a solid but we’ll used 22” which I am planning on as a dedicated pizza grill, not set it up yet but, looking at that pie is making me think about it more right now!

Brian, I would also opt for an extra kettle. There are tons of used cheap 22" kettles a out there. I actually increased the leg length on mine to bring it up to the height of the performer. I am 6'4" and hate bending down. Especially when have to move the pizza in from the front.

I think that is the way I would go probably start with Roberts method as I am guessing you could cobble something together for $35.00 or less and just see if I use it enough. Problem around here is we have like 10 pizza places killing each other on the money side and my favorite is Marco's which is a chain but their Pizza is more like what I am used to up North good sauce, crust and they have a coupon once a month for $9.99 large pizza with one topping, my wife eats pepperoni and I like sausage so they do half and half for that price. I like them because they don't cheap out on the meat, they use sliced sausage not the crumbly stuff which is what I prefer.

However now retired it ain't like I don't have extra time so can do a bunch of stuff on the weekdays never could do before so making different pizza's I think would be fun. That pizza looks great do you make your own dough? I have seen great reviews on Trader Joe's pre made dough inexpensive and there is not one that close to me but always could make a run and buy 3 or 4 packages and freeze them.

Well, I am not in the market for the new Smokefire, but I am hoping that when it starts hitting the stores around here, it creates some Curb Alert pick up opportunities for some Weber gassers.

I'll probably never own a Smokefire unless I win some sort of lottery or contest.
I am glad that Weber is finally entering this arena of pellet grilling though. Hope their new product is a huge success.

Yeah same here. Not only because it costs so much but also my last expensive purchase let me down so badly when they washed their hands of me with the Summit. No way I am dropping that much money on that much gamble

One or two around me like that as well. I don't know what these people are thinking. But, I figure it makes my rehab grills look a lot better.....for a lot less.

Here is an actual deal. Brand new lime green Smokey Joe in Bogart, GA for $25!

It's brand new in the box. That's 70 miles from me, so I won't be getting it, but could be a nice money maker for someone. Probably throw that bad boy on eBay and double or triple your money.

A Smokey Joe in something other than black is worth more than that. Good thing it is far enough way from me, too! All I need right now...

There are two E-3xx sidewinders near me, one stainless and one black, listed at $325 and $350. Around here, this type of ad almost always state something like "retail price is $800-100."

There are a green and a blue Smokey Joe in my area too. Ok the the blue one is about 4h away. But I already have a green grill and the blue one has an ugly print from a canned water supplier on it. I personally don't like kettles sold as merchandise and plastered with advertisement.
