Got the green light to buy the E6 Kamado

I was at our local BBQ stop today along with the Mrs. After browsing the Weber E6 Kamado with snap-jet starter and table included, I was told that “we” felt that is was too much money to justify a table and bag to put charcoal in.

However...

The great staff kindly reminded us that they were expecting their stock of E6 Summit Kamado’s next week. No table and no snap jet starter... not to mention about $900 less Cdn. After she browsed the kettels, rancher, and Smokefire... I received the nod to purchase the E6 Summit Kamado. (Not the wobbly version.)

I cannot wait to pick it up.

WooHoo, looking forward to the big day. Any idea when? Congrats, I'm green with envy. Not the cooker, the frugal wife. 😀

Your killing me every time I look at the Summit I start to drool but I am 67. Lots of people on this site own those the old model and love them so please keep posting when you start using it in regards to smoking and normal grilling.

Colin my wife is frugal I think however since I have 2 daughters when all three of them go to get their hair and nails done pretty well guessing I could own a Summit in less than 6 mos of course I would get the how much money do you spend on Josh Cab in 6 months so I don't go there. Guess whether it's a used Summit or a new E6 gonna have to start drinking the big jug of Woodbridge Cab nothing wrong with it by the way but I want that Summit.

I'm with you Brian, have two daughters myself. So far the wife has not questioned what I spend on cigars.

I feel your pain gents. I too, am vastly outnumbered in the house. Sometimes when I clean the bathrooms, I leave the toilet seats up on principle alone. :D
When the women go out on Saturday morning I get to do all the chores.
This includes all cleaning from floor scrubbing Cinderella style to drain and sump sterilizing. Bathroom and.mirrors, windows and vacuuming. Cook up some meals too. Course I do not tell them about the neighbors coming over for pork...

Well, still waiting for the arrival of my E6. I stopped by the local bbq place to pick up a few accessories and inquire about an ETA. They didn’t have any updates. I decided to contact Weber and the best answer they were able to give me was “We’re aiming for a release date in spring.”

...at least I have my new vortex to stare at until then.

You will love it I'm sure...I have some beef prime rib bones sitting on mine right now....rock solid 225 degrees for the last 3-1/2 hours! Lit up some Kamado Joe Big Block charcoal lump with the torch in a single location to get it started...still my favorite way to start it up!
