Friday Night Pizza

Friday night we decided to make pizza on the Weber Charcoal Summit.
This cooker is very fuel efficient. Added more lump charcoal to do the pizza. Not sure how hot it got. Pizza crust is from trader joes. My kids and Maribel liked how the pizza came out. Now we are having a discussion if I still need the kettle pizza attachment. Here are a few pics.

Thanks for stopping by

Awesome! I'm seriously thinking about purchasing the charcoal summit. Nice pizza too. If the pizza is good and the summit cooks well, no need for a KP unless you want to see the pizza cooking.

Nice crust! I noticed you used the deflector plate, but still got the temp way up there. Did that take much work?

I still can't see any of Tony's pic's.

Should be better now. Seemed to be any Photobucket pics.

Tony, that pizza looks great. With the temperatures you were getting, and how the finished product turned out, I would suggest that a Kettle Pizza would be a waste. The KP does work well, but from what I am seeing your Charcoal Summit is just as good, if not better.

Tony, that pizza is to die for fantastic job. Now if they came out with a 26" Performer I'd talk..... but don't tell Rich that!!;)

Awesome looking pizzas Tony. I haven't seen any pizzas come off the KP attachment that look any better. I too am wondering how you got it so hot with the heat deflector in place. That grill is really awesome.

I wondered how that would do, making Pizza. It's lucky you did the first documented pizza cook on it, only you could kick out pizza like that, the first time at bat

Tony,
How long to get to that temp you showed and then how long to cook the pizza. as it sure looks to be down right perfect to me. As said love the live fire shot. It looks as thought this grill was made for your family in mind.
