First Cook Lodge Sportsman - Tri Tip

Takes me back 20+ years but I finally have a Sportsman again, this one named "Rusty Robert T" :)

I forgot how much I like open grilling. Decided to break this one in cooking up some Tri Tip

Fired up and ready to go:

Chuck you cooked that tri tip to perfection! If it was an even numbered year it might just be playoff worthy! All kidding aside that tri tip looks awesome. Cooked to perfection. Nice job! You got the medium rare perfect!

Nailed that one! I've been looking at the sportsman for a while even mentioned it to Barb, but I got the "look" so maybe not right now.
 
Great break in cook on your new grill! No better cut of meat to use! Cooked to perfection!

I wish I had my parents old Hibachi, that thing was the bomb for camping and small cookouts!
