Fathers day burgers

So Sunday morning I had every intention of having our fathers day meal at McNally's in Chestnut Hill as it is the greatest pub on earth with the most amazing sandwiches. But then right around noon, the smell of grilled meat hits my nose like sledgehammer, Pavlov would be proud as I wiped away the drool, scooped up the HMFIC and the little one and headed to Wegman's.

But first the appetizers. Had to whet our beak. cornichons, sopressata, and Midnight moon (goat gouda) with a bit of balsamic glaze. He is his parents son as he liked it all.





Look at the marbling on that short rib



cubed and frozen for a half hour



And ground through the kitchen aid



Peppers and Portebella marinated in balsamic vinaigrette



Looks ready for the sear, I had a piece of pecan laying there so I let it get nice and hot.





And done! Very tasty burger - I give it an 8.5
