Curb Alert !!!

I have seen lots of grease. Never seen it that jagged. Sadly, someone else is getting it. So we will never truly know, but I’m 100% sure that lid is toast, by our standards.

That being said, it’s probably got a great grease tray and cookbox. It always seems if one part is bad, a few others are great.
I do understand what you are saying, Cody. I would just toss in the idea that part of saving classic Webers can mean some restoration compromises. I would personally not be above trying to do a touch up of that relatively minor damage since it is otherwise an uncommon and sharp lid. Don’t get me wrong; if I were to resell, I would be forthright - and hopefully proud - to show the repair to potential buyers.

First time seeing a Skyline in this configuration in my neck of the woods. I don’t see any signs of a tank scale or bracket so I have a message in to the seller asking for confirmation it is natural gas. If so, I’ll probably lowball a number at them to try to pick it up on the cheap. NG’s are a hard enough sell in-season and I’ve got plenty of LP parts on hand to retrofit the fuel source on my own.

I like it!

Ok, if I grabbed that grill it would just be for the challenge of quickly and cheaply making it brand new again and selling it. I may be able to motivate myself based on that if it's still available by tomorrow afternoon or Sunday. I'll watch it.
I see that listing is gone… did you get it? Or did another Chicago based member in here get it?’
