That's right, Cookie. Not plural. Did a 10 inch Chocolate Chip Cookie in my cast iron pan. Used my 26 OTG for this cook. Used 4 fire half bricks to help even out the heat in the kettle. Kettle held a perfect 350 for 45 minutes. Came out delicious. Here's some pic's.

Whisked together some flour, baking soda and salt.

In mixing bowl, mixed unsalted butter, white sugar until smooth.

Added an egg, vanilla, mixed. Added in flour mixture, mixed. Added dark chocolate chips

.

Spooned into 10 in cast iron pan.

Place on Kettle, indirect, for 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, cookie should be golden brown around edge and soft in center.

Allow to cool on rack for about 20 minutes.

Ready to eat.

Kids will love this. I did too. You can eat it straight, with ice cream or just a glass of milk. Wine or beer works too! Thanks for looking.

How cool is that! As I look at this tread Barb is making Christmas cookies today to freeze and in a few weeks we'll go to Cali to see the kids and take them. (her way of keeping her mind off the loss of Holly).

I've done cookies on a pizza stone but your cast iron idea is awesome!

Thanks Dwain. I do a lot of cooking with cast iron. Love it. I have to say though, cooking this cookie in the cast iron pan was not my idea. I saw this on line a few weeks back and jotted it down until I had a chance to cook it.

Wow, Rich. I just went back to your thread and saw your update. I just know how much those dogs mean to you and Barb. So sorry to learn of the horrible news. You and Barb hang in there.

That looks outstanding.

The kids and I just thew a batch of brownies from a box into the oven. Yes, we're lame.

Oh man I've got to try this!!!
When you say you cooled it on the rack for 20 minutes, you took it out of the pan to cool?
Just a stupid question, but yep last weekend I put salt in my bread dough instead of sugar.

That sure looks good, Cliff! Not sure if I could keep myself from tossing a quart of ice cream on top and eating the whole thing!!
