So I gotta wonder. Does this company have people staying up late nights trying to figure ways out to screw customers and piss them off? So today I get this!
"We’re reaching out to let you know that we recently discovered an error where we have been inaccurately allowing more DVR recording storage than what is included with your current Xfinity TV service. Starting May 25, we’ll be correcting this error on our end and you’ll notice some changes when it comes to your DVR service.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause. As always, we appreciate our relationship and want to thank you again for choosing Xfinity to provide you with the best in entertainment.
Here’s what is changing:
On May 25, 2021, your available DVR recording storage will move to 20 hours and you’ll be able to record two programs at the same time.
However, if you'd like to keep the same features you have now, you can add DVR Service for $10 per month. This service includes 150 hours of DVR recording storage and simultaneous recording of up to six programs. All you’ll need to do is to sign in to My Account to get started.
If adding DVR service doesn’t sound like a good fit for you, that’s fine too. Just know that:
If you have more than 20 hours of recordings stored on your DVR on May 25, 2021, only your newest 20 hours of recordings will be saved. All other stored recordings will be removed.
If you have more than two recordings scheduled to record at the same time, you will need to make some quick changes to your recording schedule to select the two programs you would like to record.
Here are some other tips to prepare for this correction:
Visit this page to learn how to:
Check your DVR recording schedule to make sure that you don't have more than two recordings scheduled at the same time.
Keep the recordings that matter most by marking them "Save for One Year." Make room for new recordings you have scheduled by deleting recordings you've already viewed.
Preserve certain recordings, including any older recordings you would like to keep, by deleting your other recordings.
Please know that these changes will not affect your On Demand options. On Demand features an extensive collection of shows and movies that are available to watch at any time. Some shows or movies that you have recorded may be available On Demand.
If you have any questions, you can chat with Xfinity Assistant. If you've already upgraded your DVR service, please disregard this message.
Thank you again for being an Xfinity customer."
When I signed on to get the expanded package with DVR this was the original promised package. Now it's a mistake?! And oh luck me I get to live in a protected area so that they have no competition! I SO HATE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
