Burgers With Cheese and Jameson Whiskey and Guinness Cheese Sauce

This is one of those burgers that's a little outrageous but I just had to try it. The burger is stuffed with blue cheese. I cooked them on my Mojoe and toasted the buns. The burger is then topped with the Jameson Whiskey Sauce and then with the Guinness Cheese Sauce. Finally it is topped with crispy deep fried onions.

About a six oz. patty with one ounce of Blue Cheese.



Sealed it up.



Making the Jameson Whiskey Sauce



Brought to a boil and let simmer for 5 minutes or so.



The Cheese Sauce



Thinly sliced a white onion and soaked it in buttermilk for half hour. Then put onion in flour mixture with K Salt, pepper and cayenne.



Fried them up on my camp stove.





About 2 minutes a side on the Mojoe. I'm still attempting to shoot on manual mode with my Nikon. The pic's of the burgers on the Mojoe are terrible but wanted to give you the idea. Quick toast on the buns also. Seattle Sourdough Pub Buns.

These burgers were absolutely sinful. Wow, what flavor. They were very rich but delicious. Thanks for looking everyone!

Cliff, I love making outrageous burgers, but you just raised the bar to heights beyond belief. Don't know if you had a recipe or dreamed it up but it's outstanding.
 
OMG!! Cliff that is fantastic and I want one!! If you do have a recipe for the two sauces I'd love to have it. This was one outrageous burger and you sent it over the top for sure.
 
Never would have thought of a Gunniess cheese sauce. It looks great! The manual mode you're using is taking some fine pictures as well!
 
Cliff, that burger looks obnoxiously good. When I first saw that cutaway photo with all the cheese and sauce oozing everywhere, I almost spit out my coffee (and I wasn't even drinking any :D!). Phenomenal post.
