Best ribs ever cooked in the history of the World!!!

Why are these ribs the best made in the history of bbq EVER?!?! Because she made them of course! IMG_20201206_160739.jpg

Last time I made ribs my youngest said, "dad I could make them all by myself." I told her, "I know I believe you can." So today she went for it, she did everything except remove the membrane and slice them at the end.

Here is the journey of the day.

Being wrapped at just under 3 hours.

And done. We also made some smoked chicken breast.

The ribs were legit good and my daughter let me know it to. As she ate them, "dad see there is still a bit but still super soft, that's how you are supposed to do it".
She has been cooking with me since she was three making pancakes, but I haven't been this proud or had as much fun cooking with her since she asked to make all of breakfast by herself.

Very cool! I'm guessing it's early for her to be thinking about what she wants to do in life, but has she said anything about some sort of culinary career?
 
Man, that is just awesome, Michael. Some things in life are just perfect, and that whole experience is one of them. Great pics, great story. Thanks for sharing.

We have talked about it, she said in she does it will be in pastry arts, she is a special kid when it comes to anything hands on.
 
Michael, I am crying. That is the most touching post. You are one lucky man. I hope there will be more cooks posted. I would be so honored if she cooked one of my recipes.

Yeah, we are already planning to make your Cocoa Brownies with Browned Butter and Walnuts on Tuesday for national brownie day. We will be in her domain and she will be taking the lead naturally on that one. After that her and I will have to find one of your savory recipes to cook together.
 
Great job dad! There's a bond and memories that will last a life time! I've had a Q-200 for quite a while now. My oldest son learned to grill hamburgers on it. Now I come home from work, and he's grilling steaks or pork tenderloin on "his grill" for supper! Your post brought back the memories of his first cooks as well...great job, great looking ribs, and a great post. You should be proud!

I have two daughters that have both asked multiple times for me to teach them to cook (my wife bakes, but doesn't cook). I point out that apparently in our house, the first 15-30 minutes of cooking dinner involves cleaning everyone else's mess left in the kitchen throughout the day so that there is room to cook. They usually end up leaving about 5 minutes in, and then complain that I won't teach them to cook. :confused:
