@LMichaels, I've never had the fortune to meet him, but I have met you. I will absolutely hoist one for him tonight, possibly a Balvenie 21yo Portwood.Sorry guys, having a tontine toast to my old man. He's in the hospice care center on his last. Not expecting him to be on "this side" much longer. Maybe a couple days on the outside. But he's comfortable, cared for and being seen to by lots of family on a daily basis. At 98+ I guess it's about as "easy" a sendoff as one could hope for.So, grabbing a little Abelour Speyside Single Malt
No kidding. I think that it's more important that we meet our end of days in the manner that we choose. When we make that [informed] choice, our wishes have to be honored in my opinion. Lingering on in a hospital bed was one of Dad's greatest fears, and that absolutely affected his healthcare choices during his last couple of years. It hurts to see him in this shape, but it's also good knowing he's being well cared for in his end hours.
OK broke out the Balvenie mmmm mmmmm

Wow, I'd be in on that
We don't get it out often. My g/f lost an aunt this past week, it just seemed like the right time.Wow, I'd be in on that
I cannot wrap my head around that!Binny's has it listed for $300 now
That's not the only bottle in the bar with that kind of a price tag. Life is too short to drink bad booze. Or eat bad barbecue. Ain't that why we're all here?I cannot wrap my head around that!
