Beer.

I would not mind some warm rain. We're going into another polar vortex here starting tomorrow. :(:poop:
I'm happy with rain at 35 degrees or higher, or snow at 25 degrees or lower. That in between nonsense is for the birds.

Forecast for the next week has an overnight low or two at -20 F.

Went to Hopnonymous Brewing yesterday in the Convoy area in San Diego. A small industrial space setup, but laid back, good vibe and good selection of beers.

Ordered a flight and got some sandwiches at the deli next door.

Came home with crowlers of our two favorite - enjoying their What You Need West Coast IPA now on a perfect sunny Saturday afternoon.

Well today I am enjoying a 12yo blended scotch on the rocks and a splash of sparkling water. I will do same tomorrow only I think it will be a single malt (not sure what I have a variety of regional ones), and no splash of sparkling water. For what those bottles cost I ain't gonna dilute it! :D

Happy Friday!

Made a return visit to Duck Foot Brewing in the Miramar area to see what's new.

A nice selection of beers - plenty of IPAs

Got a flight of 5

Left to right
Liquid Jam Hazy IPA
Cluck Buddies Hazy IPA
My Cousin Nelson IPA (New Zealand Hopped)
Crossing Wizard West Corner IPA
Cryo Luminescence IPA

All very different in flavor profile.

I asked our beer 'barista' what was the word play on West Corner IPA. The story goes they named this beer after a guy who dresses up as a wizard in Leucadia (just up the road) and helps people cross the street - hence "Crossing Wizard" on a "corner".

Turns out that was our favorite. Came home with a growler fill.
