not too attractive, but then again, Raquel Welch wasn't soo good lookin' either without her salt & pepper...

ok, okay... back to the real meat boys....
got the STUBBS out for this grillin'

IMG_0588.JPG

and fired up a chimney about ¾ ways full...

IMG_0589.JPG

a few small Yukons Precooked for 5 on HIGH in the micro...
then roasted these for about 35 minutes before adding anything else to the grill...

...added a skillet of 'shrooms and the two small steaks...

...and as you can see below the grates, looks like the STUBBS is nearly gone!

and it was.... I maneuvered the beef to the hottest portion of the CIGs to finish the cook.
And I did, served a little while later with everything you see below: peppers with green beans...
those Yukons with mushrooms... and sautéed onions too.

kinda disappointed with the STUBBS briquettes, but I realize not everyone can have a good day.
STUBBS will be back real soon and hittin' homers the way it knows how to.
And I hope your team hits homers too! :D
Unless your team is The Cards, or The Pirates, or The Reds, or The Cu... well, I hope The Cubs DO hit some.

Thanks for stoppin' by!!

Great picture, Jim. Oh yeah, the food looked super too, as usual. Beautiful plate. Raquel looked great to me with or without her salt and pepper!

Great look Chuck Eyes Jim! Another wonderful cook.... Raquel Welch always looked great to me! Even without the seasoning.

Thursday night is apparently chuck eye night at TVWBB. Although, yours look more like rib eyes than mine. Great plate!

Jim, IME all high end charcoals burn somewhat fast compared to kbb, as they're more like lump. I'll use left over coal as a bed for hot briquettes if doing a longer cook.

Great looking cook and full plate of goodness!!!! Looks like someone is over due on getting a new charcoal chimney!

Chuck eyes arent my favorite rib-eye but lately when i see the rib-eye prices I leave with chuck eyes. After I cook them I am never disappointed with them.

Steaks, what steaks? 5 in the morning is way early for Raquel! Great looking plate once I could get my eyes to refocus!

Awesome job on the steaks and all the side dishes done to perfection. Another great job Jim keep them coming.

Great looking Chuckeyes Jim. Seems like they are not so easy to find around here these days.

Tim
im serious... I want the Cubs to win out!
Milwaukee has been in the basement for years... We know that feeling:(

Twas a bad charcoal night for sure, but with Coshell for me.
But you pulled it off excellently Jim, beautiful, bountiful, platefull!
