Got this in the mail today and showed my wife.
Me: "You can now call me Master."
My Wife: "Yeah...I COULD do that..."
I'm not holding my breath.

That's awesome, Chris! Congratulations! And hey, you are a master; as far as I'm concerned, you are the king of TVWBB. We all have much love and appreciation for ya.
 
How many briskets does one have to consume to become a Master? Congrats!

Well, it's 30 contests judged X 6 brisket entries = 180 briskets sampled. Same for chicken, pork ribs, and pork shoulder. However, on a few occasions you get 5 entries, very rarely you get 7. And there are also volunteer positions that count toward the 30 contests judged that don't involve eating, like being a table captain, receiving entries from teams, renumber the boxes, handling the leftovers, etc. and in those cases you're not consuming 6 samples. For me, I would estimate around 140 each of briskets, chicken, ribs, and pork sampled.
