    2nd overnight cook!!

    Well I just got rolling on my 2nd overnight cook! 2 pork butts about 6 lbs. a piece. Injected and rub applied at noon. Minion method with 40 coals on top of a full pan took the 22" WSM about 20 min to get to 225 then adjusted the vents to 25% and she is still at 225. Going to get a shower...

    Lamp Mod Question

    Thats what I did, the only thing is I used 1/4 inch ID lamp stuff but you have to drill the hole out to 1/2 for it to fit through. I used the exisitng grate hole. Had to drill the cooker and the grate bracket. I also added handles at the same time to the grate bracket holes. It worked out...

    Factory thermometer problem. . .

    Yup - Same Problem my hood ornament is off by 40 degrees. Weird thing is it seems like after it cooks for a couple hours the difference drops to around 30 degrees. Oh yeah I get condensation in mine as well

    I can't sleep when I cook overnight.

    Thats what I did .... even over slept for 2 hours. temp was still within 5 degrees of when i passed out, uh , I mean went to sleep!! LOL

    Clint I appreciate the response. I wish I could do that, but I am definitly a temp watcher. after my first overnight cook on the WSM, I am getting much much more confident. I hardly watched it at all today with the chicken... But its still comforting to know... LOL
