i gave up all magazines a few years back as i couldn't manage all that data because it wasn't searchable. and i've found youtube to be an amazing place to diversify what we cook and eat. literally, i am able to watch and learn from cooks from Persia, Turkey, Israel, Egypt, Italy, Greece, USA, Germany, S Korea, Japa, Vietnam, Thailand and more.Sorry about that, sounds like a good story there somewhere. Why so bitter?
I have been a subscriber for 3 years now and have enjoyed them. Of course after being a recipe collector for over 30 years, it is getting hard to read about anything new. lol
This Old House, Doc Martin and now The Indian Doctor otherwise the TV is never on. Of course we only have an antenna but wouldn’t matter the availability. The network has become a food farce, I’m not really bitter, just disappointed. It started out well enough actually teaching technique and giving good ideas. Now, it’s “personality” and how much merchandise the people can slap their name on and sell. Most of its junk!
I’m not saying it’s not something to read now and then but, I’m not making a steady diet of it. Most of the new talent just leaves me cold, I just don’t watch it anymore.
Yes, you are right, I did ask YOU!!!!!But Joan, you DID ask the question.

When Emeril actually did real cooking, before Mario was exposed before Paula was ”woke”, were the glory days of food network. The ninety pound, bubbly, capped toothed “personalities” make me turn on old “Perry Mason” episodes for background noise while I fill the commode. “Carnival Eats“, etc. no one should be making that much empty calories for their friends and families! “Triple D”? I think the guy has ruined some nice “mom and pop“ places but, probably saved a few too, but he’s still a jerk.
