Two strategy questions.

First, is there a good way to deal with the second occurrence of a letter in the word? My fails are almost always due to the fact that a letter is used a second time. And once I identify that letter for the first time, I usually forget that such letter can recur.

Second, what is your starter word/s. Mine are:

Stear
Orate
Roast
Adieu

My wife and I experienced the different words today. She is on the classic site and I was on the NYTimes site. Didn't realize it happened til we talked about the words at dinner so we googled it. I guess my word was supposed to be easier. She still beat me.
