Who would you like to see host Jeopardy?

If everyone would't mind, when you post whom you would like to see host Jeopardy, would you also please post WHY!!!!!!!

To me and millions of other people, this is a very important decision that has to be made. Alex Trebek's shoes are going to be very hard to fill.
I like a good joke as well as the next guy, but please, not on this thread. I think we all should show Alex Trebek a great deal of respect. Pick another thread and I will joke with you as much as you want.
Thank you!!!!!

I give Alex Trebek all the respect in the world.
Sorry, I don't care who they use to replace him, because they won't do him justice.
Now that's just my opinion.;)

Jeopardy in my mind represents a certain level of intellectualism. I like Levar Burton as he was a good inspiration for math and sciences as Geordi Laforge on Star Trek The Next Generation. Also as host of Reading Rainbow he taught children to learn to love books.

LeVar Burton - and he's getting a week in July. Without even seeing how he does yet, he gets my vote as the permanent.
My goodness, he has grown into a very distinguish looking man. Let's see how he does in July (time does fly by too fast, I still keep thinking of him as a young man. lol)

I've been thinking (don't laugh, I still do that once in a while lol) what if they want to hire a woman? I don't know if it is because my ears are getting older, but there are few women on TV that I can stand to listen to for more than a few minutes at a time. One woman (and I am surprised at this) that I can listen to for quite a while is Martha Stewart. I think she has the maturity, personality, sense of humor and experience in front of a camera to pull it off.

Aaron Rodgers started out as a stiff board but got better by the end of his run.

I'm surprised no one thinks Ken Jennings is the right choice. Why wouldn't the GOAT Jeopardy player not be the best choice as host? He's friendly enough and is already a consulting producer on the show.

I'd agree that Mr. Jennings has done an admirable job.... but I think that he's trying a bit too hard to emulate Trebek. Yes, there's always going to be a certain element of that, but to be successful, the emcee should make it his own, like Trebek did when Jeopardy rebooted. Just my $0.02.

This is getting hard. I think for his first week, Bill Whitaker did a great job. I don't watch "60 Minutes", so he is new to me. I think he needs to loosen up just a little bit more. Maybe he will in his 2nd week.

I also would like to see Lavar Burton as host. Just seems right. My wife and I loved watching Kens ride many years ago and I enjoy him, but don't think he is the right fit. But I have liked seeing him, Brad and James on the american version of "the chase".

Fellow Aaron Rodgers fans, did you see that he will be on "The Conners"show this Wed.? Can't wait.

I haven''t watched this show since Roseanne left, but I will this week.
