Weber Propane tank cover alternative

Need to find some stealth paint. No heat sig.
Apparently there is a brand that makes something somewhat like that.

"Resene CoolColour™ technology makes painting exterior surfaces in darker colours both easier and safer. It can be used on all sorts of exterior materials and applications, from weatherboards and concrete to windowsills. A Resene CoolColour looks like a normal colour but thanks to special pigment technology it reflects more heat, so it doesn’t get as hot as a normal colour would. Resene CoolColours are created by replacing the standard carbon black pigment that absorbs heat and light with a unique pigment that enables much of the infrared portion of the sun’s energy to be reflected. Visible and U.V. light will still impact the sun’s heating effect on the exterior surface."

I’ve seen that type of stuff going on some of the newer high end homes in my area. There’s an all black house not far from me that looks really different. It’s also probably worth 2.5 million, so a couple lifetimes out of my price range!

Thanks Jon. Looking forward to it!
I sent an email with a PDF of the tank decal to find out if they can make a magnet version. If they can, I might ask about making one like the original and one in reverse with a black background.

It is kind of hard for me to see how an LP tank under a grill could absorb enough heat from the sun to have any impact. I am going to ask the place I get my tanks refilled about their policy.

I want to rehab my tried and true 2-burner Skyline as a gift to a major Chicago White Sox fan. I was wanting to paint the tank black for that, but I suppose I could go silver, the other Sox color. I already have a Sox logo to affix to the tank.

Really cool Jon! That all sounds great!

Those sticker/magnets look great! We always wanted to do something with our work trucks so we could cover the company logo on the road. You might have inspired me. Haha.

Funny enough I ordered an extra tank cover after reading through this. Amazon has them at $13.99 and I do really like the way they look.
