So long as it isn't really blotchy I would think you should be A OK. I like those Platinum lids, I have yet to get my paws on one.The speckles in the porcelain from the sun almost looks factory![]()
I should never have sold mine, been on the lookout for a nice one ever since.I have one on my SS Platinum Frankengrill. It was in great shape. Too nice to put on a flipper.

It's gotta be from people ordering the wrong part for their particular grill.I was partially shocked the other day when I saw these are frequently returned due to poor fit. Mine I returned from shipping damage. But thats noted in the return info.
Ope, come to think about it I also ordered the Uniflasy one as well... I wouldn't think the qulimetal would be far off from what uniflasy is.
I would bet they come out of the same factory.Ope, come to think about it I also ordered the Uniflasy one as well... I wouldn't think the qulimetal would be far off from what uniflasy is.
You would think so. The thing that I wonder about is how there seems to be differences in the burner tubes for example. Some are fine while others are off in some way. Could just be bad quality control I guess.I am pretty sure all the offerings on amazon.Come from the same factory. Companies buy them and just rebrand them
Mark,Definitely has sun fading but, it's very uniform![]()
What was your application process for using that? Did you try it anywhere else like the frame, etc.?Mark,
I have tried this stuff with some pretty impressive results. I am not saying it will bring back a badly faded hood, but it did wonders on my mildly faded Skyline hood. I think it is definitely worth a try on your Platinum (and future projects):
