It is a feature. Weber designed those lids to fade uniformly allowing owners to have an ever changing grill lid. You should charge extra for that.

So long as it isn't really blotchy I would think you should be A OK. I like those Platinum lids, I have yet to get my paws on one.

This one was almost perfect.

I was partially shocked the other day when I saw these are frequently returned due to poor fit. Mine I returned from shipping damage. But thats noted in the return info.

It's gotta be from people ordering the wrong part for their particular grill.

Yep, a lot of that goes on at Amazon. I see reviews that mention the item being reviewed and it is clearly not the same item. You really have to actually read a lot of the reviews and use common sense while doing so.

Ope, come to think about it I also ordered the Uniflasy one as well... I wouldn't think the qulimetal would be far off from what uniflasy is.

I would bet they come out of the same factory.

You would think so. The thing that I wonder about is how there seems to be differences in the burner tubes for example. Some are fine while others are off in some way. Could just be bad quality control I guess.
