Mark,
I have tried this stuff with some pretty impressive results. I am not saying it will bring back a badly faded hood, but it did wonders on my mildly faded Skyline hood. I think it is definitely worth a try on your Platinum (and future projects):

Not on a prime candidate. Hopefully very soon I will take on some new grill work. I will pull out a borderline control panel and do before and after pics.Jon, have you tried it on a control panel?
That one definitely looks off. The piezo has a locking nut on it like a 7509 for the Genesis 1000-5000. I don't know if it will still work on the grills it's supposed to because I've never tried. Edit: I think they just mixed up the photos between the two but I wouldn't chance it myself to save $2.
Good price, anyone try them?
I bought a set of burner tubes from direct store, they were excellent. Are they selling a burner tube/flavorizer bar combo too?I saw that Direct Store has a similar price. I think that’s the set that @Steve Hoch used?

Yeah, that's a little on the flimsy side for sure. I don't think anything beats those Votenli flavorizer bars.Reviews are saying they are 20 ga flavorizer bars.
Same hereIt is incredibly frustrating. Unless you make some mods to it, its short enough that it'll come right off the valve. I think the next one I am going to slightly file down where the burners screw into. I am thinking about just tacking the center tube down going forward. After I have run it and checked everything works.
I think I will be ordering a couple of the Parts direct burners. I got a couple of these packaged tubes and bars at a good discount, but constantly having to alter them is annoying.
