Weber Genesis 1200 Skyline grill

I agree with the others. I have a pair of Skylines in the boneyard at the moment and have moved a couple through the shop previously. I’ve never seen a basket on the end on a Skyline before. I would, however, encourage you to DM me if you have any interest in increasing your overall profit by selling the front condiment bracket outright before making the grill available for sale locally. They’re a personal fave and I can always use an extra one.

Thanks for the replies. I checked another 13 bar box frame and that one also has notches for the end rack.

I think it came to me with that part. I keep the parts in the firebox on the one-off grills so they don’t get lost. I don’t know the provenance of the grill and the serial number is not readable. The mystery continues….

The cookbox on the very bottom front side lip there will be a date code stamp and inside each lid end cap.

Whoever owned the grill before put that rack on there. As far as age, it's most likely a 1998 model based on the info sticker being on the end of the control panel and the use of screws instead of plugs to hold the control panel on.

Thanks Steve. The 8006 control panel that came with the grill has a worn off serial number that starts with EZ.

The grill was assembled backwards when it came to me so it could be a mishmash of parts

I agree that someone added the rack from a Genesis 1.

Skylines are a favorite of mine, partly because I went to the University of Chicago and my wife's family is from the Chicago area. (I just returned from her family reunion there.) I personally think they are unique enough to try to save lids that are less than 100% perfect due to some minor fading. I can see giving up on dime a dozen regular black lids, but Skylines are special.
