Vieluxe conversion to LP.

If im reading the chart correctly that LMichaels shared, these are the ones I should go with.

main burners... 12500 btu =#58 / .042 (12322 btu)
Side burners... 28000 btu = 1/16 / .0625 (27286 btu)
Rotisserie...15000 btu = #57 / .043 (12916 btu) or
#56 / .0465 (15104 btu)
Smoker... 8000 btu = #66 / .0333 (7607 btu)

Mr Michaels, any input?

Looks correct to me. Make sure you use a HIGH QUALITY regulator. None of the crap adjustable ones you see some folks wanting on here. They are very unstable and not safe. Meant for much higher flow devices. Also stay away from anything listing it's pressure in PSI. I.E. 1 psi, or such. LP appliances like grills run on 11" WC (which is just about .4 PSI) FWIW

Ok. So I got the orifices ordered along with a line adapter and regulator. So depending on how long it takes to get the orifices from Forester, hopefully I'll have somethin to show. Thanks for the help so far guys.

Ok guys. Been a while, but I gots me a workin propane vieluxe! Just gotta fix the igniter and clean her up a bit. Changed the the regulator out and swapped orifices. Was quite a learning experience. Found out that a 1/4x20 thread (which i ordered custom made orifices from Forrester. Which was a great experience i should say) and an M6x.75 (which I shoulllld have ordered. Haha) are alllllllllmost the same. After that time consuming mistake, I found out the correct sizes I needed. Finally ended up buying the brass orifices on amazon for 8 bucks and drilled em out with a carburetor jetting drill bit set and my dremel.

Looks like some of the burners need a bit more cleaning, but that will be an awesome grill once you get it completed and up and running. The ultimate Weber gas grill. Do you have the rest of the flavorizer bars?

Yeah. Just pulled em to take pics. Everything is there.

Suckling pig! Maybe something a little bigger.
A lamb would be grand!!!
Sorry Darren, a whole sheep wouldn’t be as good, (old and strong) a lamb for Easter!

It looks like my Summit Platinum D6 on steroids…
Actually it is not at all like the 2nd gen Summit. It's almost a direct predecessor of the 1st gen Summit. IN fact the first Summit IIRC was like a scaled down version with in fact many parts interchangeable between them

I don't think a standard cheapo bbq regulator can supply the gas flow to maintain 11" wc at 126000btu/hr. The OP will probably have to go with a more expensive two stage regulator setup.

I can’t recall ever seeing a first gen Summit, so I have no way to compare with the 2d gen. From pictures and descriptions I have read here, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference, same crappy cookbox, a few subtle design changes.

Huge difference between the 1st and 2nd gen Summit. Not only in looks but quality. As bad as some things (firebox) was on the 1st gen it became WAY cheapened up on 2nd gen.
A standard regulator will flow just fine. It's all they came with

I know that you have experience with both, thanks for your evaluation. Perhaps someday I’ll get to see a first generation, but I won’t hold my breath as both models are suffering the same fate of lack of replacement parts.
