I smoked some Turkey Legs for the DIL's b-day. Not sure why I don't do these more. They're awesome!

Hi Dwain. Those look delicious. What temp did you smote them at?

I quit measuring grate temps a while back. I simply had a pretty full ring of KBB and dumped a lit chimney of Royal Oak on it along with a chunk of Pecan and vents wide open. I ended up starting at 250*F dome temp and it headed north during the cook to 300*F dome temp.

Great color on those legs Dwain. Know what you mean about doing them more often. Actually, I'd say that about turkey in general. I love it. No homebrew offerings today?
 
I agree with you and Cliff. Turkey is just so good and is a natural for grilling and smoking. I need to cook more of it. I've never done just legs but man those looks really good Dwain.
 
I haven't smoked any turkey parts (other than the breast) yet, but I think smoked turkey tastes better than smoked chicken. Would you agree?
