Hi gang - I found this beauty in what Rich so succinctly called the "dog food isle" You know, the butcher's mark down bin. Something else I noticed: Safeway's done away with the Ranchers Reserve and is now tagging most everything Choice. Not that I'm complaining...just an interesting marketing shift. Any other S'way shoppers seeing this? Any'whoo, divide that $14.40 by 2! Soon to be Szeged dusted

Bet you didn't know I could read Smoke Signals. This here sez "it's time to put the Beef on!"

Soon to be joining the fire: Bushes Grilling Beans and onion from the garden

after the first turn. I had used the last of some KBB, some Stubbs, and some small oak chunks.

everybody on

and off

and for your consideration

And with this I bid you a fond good-night, have a great weekend! All you smokers out there - almost time to light your matches. Finally, a moment for those that have given so much for us. See you around the fire.

Great looking dish Brian, the TT looks perfect and those onions look fantastic. Found out that our local fry's (Kroger) puts out the mark downs every day at 9am and a couple of days a week I'm there with my tail waggin and my tongue hangin out. Love that dog food section. The other day I scored a 9 lb full butt for $4.89 or $.54 a pound. Woof!

TT? Yes, i like it!
Tri Tip is really a photogenic piece of meat. Nicely cooked Brian.
Have a great weekend my friend.

Great looking TT and at a bargain to boot!!! I don't really care for Ranchers Reserve. I have had some outstanding steaks and some really crappy steaks from them. Its always hit or miss with them so I try not to buy RR anymore.
