Seasoned with Tatonka Dust and black pepper and cooked over red oak wood on the Santa Maria Pit

Pic of the tt, corn and there is a bulb of garlic in aluminum foil in there somewhere.

tri tip resting

toasted up some cheesy garlic bread

sliced

Plated, made a gazpacho type soup. Its pretty much the recipe I use to make a Baja shrimp cocktail, minus the shrimp and corn and bell pepper added.

Corn Looks Pale... Was it Good Too??

Like your Santa Maria, Cliff. I've been contemplating building one. Did you build yours, or is it commercial?

That meal looks excellent and I really need to get a Santa Maria grill, great to see your enjoying the Tatonka Dust seasoning!

Beautiful cook my friend, went to Shop Rite here today and was going to pick up Tri Tip and they wanted 28 dollars for a smallish one. I said no thanks. Yours is making me regret that decision. Well done

Wow thats insane!!! These were $3.99/lb. I picked up two one was $11.45 and the other $11.85. They are untrimmed too so there is a large fat cap on them.

You left coast guys are lucky. My local Wegman's now wants $12.99/lb for tri tip. I stopped buying it. A local farm sells them at a nearby farmers market for $7.99, but they don't always have them. They are dry aged 30 days and are fantastic though.

Great cook - you are the tri tip master!

That's a great looking Plate and a superb looking almost (Tatonka dust got ya there!) traditionally cooked Santa Maria tri tip!
