Tri Tip Strip Steaks on GrillGrates

R.I.P. 3/31/2022
Thought I'd better post a cook soon or get my membership canceled.

Tri Tip cut into strips, seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
2 baskets of Ozark Oak lump under the GrillGrates.
Sunday's outside temp was mid 60's, not bad for early Feb.

A very tasty dinner!

That's all I have, thanks for the visit!

Oh wait, here's the cap Mr Lampe sent me.
Hope what's under it doesn't scare you too much.

Great grill marks and amazing color of the sliced TT
Don't you also have the round CI insert for that grate?
Nice hat

Really good to see your post, Bob! Don't worry about your membership cancellation. I know you are one of the cornerstones of this operation! Great looking tri tip, cooked to my taste perfectly. Very nice plate too. I really like your light. I do a lot of cooks in the dark as we eat pretty late. Would like to find something like that. Very nice hat too!

Great cook Bob and the hat is perfect, gotta ask Jim where he got that cuz I want one!

The above reply should have been from Rich, but I do want to know where to get one for him. That would be perfect!!

I really rhink if you were cancelled the 90% of us will be cancelled too! What really dounts is the great looking meat with nice marks and color!

Thanks guys I got one coming, of course I won't look as dashing as Bob does wearing his:cool:

I think Bob deserves a commission, his modeling of the hat has sold quite a few from the sounds of it. Heck between the hat and his suspenders posts he has become famous not only as a grillmaster but as a model too!!!! Maybe its time to come out of retirement Bob and start a second career!!!
