We send our apprentices to look for a bucket of steam. It never gets old.
Way back when, I used to work at a college cafeteria as a pot washer
The cooks used to send people to the store room to get a can of “spaghetti stretcher”, ie, water!

They would send the apprentices to me to ask for laser level fluid. ( when the batteries got low)
I'd say what color, red or green?
They'd say I dunno, red I think. I'd say well you better go ask cause all I have is green.
They usually never came back.
 
I actually witnessed a relative of this 30+ years ago, in a small hotel restaurant at breakfast. I was travelling with 2 stylish ladies to the company's Tennessee plant, and the cashier remarked on their "chick" outfits. Took me about 10 minutes to finally realize that she actually meant chic (pronounced completely differently.)
