Well if the paint job is a jab at the fact that for awhile pintos had a reoccurring issue with gas tank fires, then I must be an old guy

When I turned 16 I got the hand-me-down '74 Pinto. When Mom & Dad bought it it was between that and a Green Gremlin. I don't recall voting for either.

I'm sure I read that the Pinto went faster in reverse than it did going forward.

One of my older sisters had a '75 or '76 Buick Skylark 4dr, with a stick shift. I have NEVER driven a vehicle, either before or after, with such a tall reverse gear. Darned thing would do something like 35mph backwards.
