Sous vide grilled tri-tip

Tri-tip is $4.99/lb this week at Albertson’s (Double R Ranch choice). I have a friend visiting this week while her husband travels through Idaho. She’s never had tri-tip sous vide style so I made it today. Five hours and fifteen minutes at 132 degrees, then on the Genisis for the bark. So delicious and tender.

Very nice! I really envy those prices. TT is $15.99 here at Wegman's (Angus). A little better at Trader Joe's, but the quality is not as good. Nobody else carries them.

Yes, I heated the Genesis to around 700 degrees just to put the crust on the roast as fast as possible right after I took it out of the sous vide. I didn’t want to cook it it any longer to help prevent the grey band under the crust.

Ive never had SV steak. Looks delicious and love how even it cooks up to the sear marks. What did you marinate it in SPG?
