Well Sunday was a pretty much standard day starting out. Was my turn to go see dad in Arlington Hts which of course means that long trip down I90. (beginning to really dread that drive don't know how I did it day in and day out to O'Hare for so long). Anyway just prior to the Hampshire Marengo exit a frantic phone call. Person asking where are you guys. Couldn't recognize him. Then the news.............you gotta come back right away and get Blake. Jess' water broke while she was at work! Luckily I had not passed that exit or it would have been a VERY long ride to the next. Got off flipped back on to 90 and highballed back to Rockford. This time she was pretty calm BTW. Drove herself home, was packing and getting the little guy ready LOL. Her partner than got her to hospital and about an hour later our granddaughter made her debut.

Congratulations bud! Cutie you got yourself there. I don’t know about you, but for me being a grandpa is the best gig in the world. Happy for you
