Sirloin From Ray's

never have bought a sirloin steak from here, always tri-tip, Delmonico steak, or others...
but never a sirloin.
That changed yesterday.
It weighed in just over 1 ½ pounds and looked terrific before grilling.
(sorry i did not snap any photos before hand)
Seasoned with a fairly new product from a joint in northern Wisconsin...

then fired up the 26" Weber kettle...
hickory chunks over Kingsford Pro Comp

grilled direct/indirect until it hit a nice internal temp of 130º or so...

after a short rest, i sliced it up

plated with the usual... however, the beef was placed atop fresh garden greens from our very own

...and the seasoning from PS Black Gold is amazing! I love it enough to buy it again!
here's what in it all...

Beautiful plate Jim. Steak looks perfect, Barb and I used to love sirloin steak but the last few years cooking the sole of my sandals would be more tender. Love the beefy taste of sirloin when we used to get good ones.
Seasoning sounds great too.

That is beautiful and your home-grown greens look great, too.
I am also intrigued by the Black Gold, and will add it to my "watch for" list.

Jim great write up as usual and photo work, that is a great looking sirloin, and that plate shot is so good love the lettuce bed, and the rub looks very interesting.
So on a scale 9.999 only because I did not get any.
