Sausage

I'll be purchasing a WSM 18.5 smoker.
I've chosen this model mostly for its convenience.
I'm a big fan of most smoked meats and looking forward to my first cook.
Been able to purchase smoked turkey and chicken at my grocer.
Question: Would this particular model be able to smoke sausage such as kielbasa and chorisa?
Your thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thank you.

we love sausage, rice, and saurkraut, and my wife loves it smokes so as above I use low temps, and a smaller amount of coals in the ring doing a minor method . They rate great and you can experiment with different woods for your flavor desire.

Thanks so much for your replies.
I was afraid that the 18.5 might be too small.
I chose it for its convenience.
I figure I can smoke on the side deck, which is wood, during the day and monitor my cook.
For long cooks or over night, I'll have to carry it down four stairs to ground level.
Getting a bit long in the tooth (83) for too much exercise. ;)
Probably install side handles on the middle portion.

I smoke kielbasa, snack sticks, summer sausage, etc using the snake, ‘C’, fuze, (whatever you want to call it). I also use the same method for bacon and jerky.

I have handles on mine the kind you see on footlocker that fold flat so the cover goes on smooth.
I have smoked 5 or 6 sauages on the top rake at one time , so the size is great

There are ways to protect your deck for overnight cooks. Our host has a ton of info on his website. https://www.virtualweberbullet.com/protecting-patios-wooden-decks/. Check it out.

That seems ideal. I'll do a search on the net.
Thanks a lot for the link, Lew.
I like the idea about using an oil drip pan under the WSM.
Thank you gentlemen.
