Sunday we smoked a pork shoulder on the new Weber Charcoal Summit. I wanted to see how much fuel would be used in a experiment I wanted to do. Unfortunately I woke up late and started my cook late.
My pork was done in 8 hours. And I let it ride for 6 more. I shut the vents before I went to bed. Total time smoking and held 250-265 for 14 hours. Pics below are before and when I checked this morning.
I feel this cooker can probably do 24 hours with no issues.
Pork was seasoned with salt and pepper with garlic and onion powder. With a little Montreal seasoning. Used hickory, cherry and apple for flavor.
Sunday morning. Minion method.

Monday Morning
