Petite sirloins and Kimchi stuffed mushrooms...

Hi gang - Just what are "Petite Sirloins?" Sounds like marketing to me. Here's what they look like, dusted w/ A-#1 cracked pepper. Morgan, dig the throwback Rainer I found.

almost everything else for the meal

I mixed the chopped mushroom and Kimchi in w/ some rice and my Ah-ha moment. I use a dehydrated 'chicken' stock when I'm lookin' for a flavor boost and/or moisture. Why not use some of the Kimchi juice to re-hydrate the stock? Perfect

sirloin's on, after the turn

and our plates

A sprinkle of cheese and a drizzle of pan juice. Turned out pretty good. Baby sirloins taste fine, they're just so darn cute. (and small!) Now I need to relax after all this hard work...

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see ya around the fire.

I like your style Brian...good eats alright!! That's a tasty looking meal!! Gotta save a couple of
Those rain dogs for next Saturday to make sure the hawks win!! I have not seen those cans in awhile!

Good stuff!!

well , brian. According to "all about meat.com"

Petite sirloins are nothing more than a glorified sirloin tip steak off the round. Having said that, they are not a bad little steak to broil or throw on the barbecue. They are often on sale for less than the top sirloin steaks and in my opinion, (remember I've been spoiled by years of getting the cuts I want at the prices I want), that's about what they are worth.

I think you're right about marketing.....I have cooked these a few times and they are nice lean little steaks....very easy to over cook. Yours look great.

Brian my friend between you and Pete G today I feel like I am in a Master's class. Beautiful bud, just beautiful. Never had that Bourbon, your one up on me again LOL

@ Frank - just like you said. They were a lean, fast cook.

@ Bill - I would pass on this. It's 'bottled' locally, (why I tried it), from bourbon distilled in Indiana, with all the flavor blended out of it. Too smooth and no snap.

Nice pics of the steak and mushrooms, Brian! I love me some good red meat and mushrooms any ol' time.

Thanks for sharing!
