One Century, One Road: Route 66, 'The Main Street of America,' turns 100

Hi folks,

Member @Brad Olson brought this article to my attention:

"The Chicago Tribune sent 2 writers on Route 66 to create a series of human interest stories. I was thinking about posting it in the Off Topic subforum, but one of the stops so far (#8) does have a pretty strong political bent so I figured I'd run it by you first. Politics aside, it's been a very good read so far."

There are ten stops in the series, with more to come, I believe. All ten stories are accessed by external links to the Chicago Tribune website. They are behind a paywall, so you may or may not have access to them. Stop #8 involves the "No Kings" protests in an Oklahoma county along Route 66. I am making an exception to our no-politics posting policy because I don't want to deprive anyone from accessing the non-political stories in this series. Please understand that posts about the content of Stop #8 will violate forum rules and will be deleted.

Thanks,
Chris
