Awesome score, I'm sure you'll love it. They really cook excellent and heat up fast with very little fuel usagePicked up my first Q grill today. Q1200 and I think may be a good size for my use case but I'm pretty sure this is just the beginning of many more Q's to come lol. I paid $60 for it and it's like new still and came with a cart, cover, adapter hose for full-size tank, new full-size tank full of propane, full box of tray liners and a full can of Simple Green heavy duty cleaner.
I bought Ribeye Steaks on my way home to try but family was hungry so I grilled on my 240. I'll try it soon though and give feedback. I gave it a quick clean but it wasn't bad.
So here is my new garage grill for now. I may gift to my sister-in-law. She better hope I don't love it lol.

Thank you Bruno!Damn you find some good stuff.
Looks great Jon!!
I did see this. It just seems like it has an extra part in it that you could avoid by using this piece? It is usually easier to just use an adapter hose instead of doing a regulator delete.
But if you are set on doing the delete, here is a how to on how I did one.
WHAT: This is a How To on bypassing (replacing) the regulator on a Q grill for use on a bulk propane tank.
WHY: The regulators on Weber Q grills are notorious for dying, making noises, malfunctioning and other problems. Replacement regulators typically cost $50 or more for a new one. This is a quick and simple way to plumb your Q grill for direct connection to a bulk LP cylinder.
CAUTION: This is only the way that I made the conversion. Working with propane and connections can be a hazardous activity. I am not advocating that you perform these steps on your grill...

Just so I understand correctly are you referring to Weber Q regulator delete but still using a regulator hose like I'm referring to? Or zero regulator in the line at all?IF you can live without it doing the regulator delete does perform far better.
Yes just the Q regulator itself, not going regulator free. Whoeeeeee that would be an inferno. On the smaller Qs doing this simply means you cannot run it "portable" from little 1lb bottles. Although seems to me I've seen adapters that allow a 1lb bottle to screw into a standard regulatorJust so I understand correctly are you referring to Weber Q regulator delete but still using a regulator hose like I'm referring to? Or zero regulator in the line at all?
Yep, I just used the adapters that I had on hand. It could have been done simpler with the right adapters.I did see this. It just seems like it has an extra part in it that you could avoid by using this piece?
I do have the 3/8 flare to male 1/8 NPT and could also get a female 1/8 NPT to Female 1/8 NPT but it seems to me this 1 piece I posted above should take the place of both of these pieces? At least I can't see why not but I haven't taken it apart yet. I'll find out tonight.
