Once again, it's been a while since I've posted. I tried out a new recipe tonight: Tuscan style flank steak. The link can be found here:

My new toy is a Nikon D3200 DSLR. Along with the kit lens, I got a 35mm f/1.8 lens. I love this lens. I've been playing with the appeture settings and having a ball. Tonight's cook was fun as well. It's always a joy to try a new recipe - especially when it is as good as this. So, here we go:

I roasted some garlic this afternoon for the pasta side:

This guy showed up on the deck after I lit the Performer. I had seen him earlier in the day when I was spreading mulch. I think he likes me.

Here's the steak at the turn:

I also did some veg that was marinated with a little canola, rosemary, roasted garlic, EVOO, etc.

This is definitely worth trying. The flavors are very bright and fresh. I hope you all are having a great weekend.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there.

Great looking cook Jim! I have the D3200's big brother the D7000. I also have that 35mm lens and love it. It stays on
my camera most of the time as it is a great all around lens.

Nice stuff, I have the D5000, and I'm very happy with it, sure you will be to.

I almost went for the 35mm lens, but opted for the 50mm 1.4 instead. Both great lenses to a fair price

New non-grilling toy? The camera is grilling toy too;)
Enjoy your new D3200/35mm f/1.8 Jim. Beautiful pictures of perfect food!!!
