Top notch Cookin' Morgan, and Top notch Photos too!
Gerti's lookin' hungry, best feed her some of that super meat n' taters;)

Great post Morgan, do you have a recipe for the soda bread?

Sure it's easy...3 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 3/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon table salt and 1 1/2 cups butter milk...

Sift all dry ingredients...add BMilk..mix with your hand till well combined(I usually add a few teaspoons more of butter milk to get it all mixed up) plop it down on a baking rack..form it up so it's about 6 inches across and 2 inches deep, cut the slits and bake it at 400 for about 20 to 30 minutes..sounds kind of hollow when done!

My kids are really digging it!

I like the way you celebrated St Patrick's day...the plated pic looks delicious!!!

Beautiful St Pat's day cook Morgan!
I'll have to see if our Costco has those zuke patties.

Nice looking boys, must take after their mom. :p
JK, you and your older son could pass for twins. :)

Gerti pic forwarded to Jo Anne at work.
Her reply:
"Cute!!!!!!!!!!!"

Thanks Bob,..pass on the zukes..much better if you make em. We though we'd try em and nobody liked them!

Simmered, then seared on the grill? Nice move. It all looks fantastic.

Gary it works well..gets rid of some of the salt
Content of the packaged CB...makes it nice and tender and the grill gives some smoke flavor and renders down all the fat globs left over from simmering! I pulled this at 195 after about 1 hour on the kettle...the meat was like butter!

Great looking cook, family and photos, Morgan! I'm gonna make a loaf of the soda bread this afternoon. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks folks for all the great response!! Great day...great food and great company!! Only way to do it!!

Those last two pics are Gold, Morgan! A loving family and a beautiful plate of chow. You should be proud.
