My Maria's Thighs

I decided to spit in Old Man Winter's face yesterday and fired up the Santa Maria for a few KFC thighs.
(guess that should be SMFC)
Started some cherry and apple wood for a touch of smoke.

Plus a chimney of K mixed with a few Stubbs.

Found some in husk corn at the store, stated it was from the USA, but I have no idea where.
Nothing but butter, salt, and pepper on the corn and potato.

Everything was great, even the corn was surprisingly very good.

Hang tough all of you hardy, winter climate dwelling souls!

Good for you Bob! We don't get the kind of winters our brothers do back east, but even I'm getting sick of the rain and wind here. Seeing the Santa Maria fired up does the soul good! What better than some KFC and that does look good, I'd love that plate myself!

Unbelievable! Those your SMFC looks like my fried chicken - whole submerged in oil. It looks perfectly cooked, really. Nice SM winter cooking my friend.

Great lookin grillin Robert!
If I were to spit into the wind here, an ice cube would get blown into my face.
The temps this winter are nearly unbearable.. Good to have a hot grill nearby!

Great looking chicken Bill, the Santa Maria did a great job and the sides finished off the dinner.

Been waiting for you or James to break out the SM. Nice boids! Was it you who got that SM at Costco? According to the Manager at our local Costco, they'll have the SM's next month

Looks good, Bob. I've never met a piece of fried chicken I didn't like, but yours looks like it would be at the top!
