Sorry, no food shots today.
I finally got around to ordering from Fruita Wood.
Ordered on Sunday, came today, Wednesday. 15 lbs. of sweet cherry at a cost of $34, shipping included.
It's all very nice and fresh.
FYI, the box is a 1 foot cube.

I'm using it for my next bacon smoke, and adding some with pecan for a brisket cook.

Today's visitor to my suet cake, a northern flicker.

I love cherry wood, especially the color it adds to the meat. I've never tried cherry with my bacon always use maple, next smoke I'll give it a try.
Great photos of the Flicker.

I’ve ordered from Fruita a few times and have been very happy with them the only weirdness I encountered was how they ran my card. They were out of what I ordered and notified me my wood was back ordered, but they went ahead and ran my card anyway. I thought no biggie,it’s just a hold on the card and they’ll complete the transaction when it ships. Then the next day my payment cleared and the money was gone. Being a patient man I waited for several weeks and finally was notified my wood had shipped. I got it and was happy. It all worked out.

Colorado's wood is always the best. I use them all the time. They have great wood, seasonings ect. Never had a problem with them.

This is gonna sound weird, but here it goes. Nice wood Bob...

You need to come out here for a week about this time of the year. They trim the cherry trees and just pile it up at the fence line. Whatever doesn't get taken, get burn up (when it's not a spare the air day) The cherry wood staves take about a year to season
