Yakitori chicken that is! I used the recipe from the weber app. I'll get to the good stuff. Here we go...

Finally got around to breaking out my vintage, Weber jumbo skewer set.

All the fixins.

Happy and resting.

Time to put some meat over fire!

After a few spins.

Just like clockwork! Every time the meats hits the heats! He's no dummy...

And they're done. Bad lighting, but you get the jist.

Some fried rice for good measure.

Everything came out fantastic! The only thing I would change is using regular onions on the skewers. The pearls didn't fare so well. This is now going to be a regular dish in the rotation. It was so good, even Jr. liked it!

9 months old and already eating the good stuff! Hopefully not much longer on the baby food. Proof that everyone loves food cooked on a Weber! Thx for lookin.

Yakitori is great stuff, Barb and I have it quite often and of course if approved by the little guy, well you know you did good!

Glad I'm not the only one who gets some new gear, and then doesn't get around to using it for a while. Your Yak looks delicious. Very nice job. Your little Browns fan seems to agree.

Nice job John! Food looks great, and it won't be long till you'll have to fire up more than 1 Weber to keep junior fed! Start saving for the teenage years, kids have bottomless pits for stomachs then.

John;
Nice post! The boy looks like an "up and comer", for sure!

Now that the weather has changed I'll have to get my kit out and turn out some yakitori, my self!

Keep on smokin',

Great post John. That yakatori looks very authentic. Looks like you are bringing junior up right. it won't be long until he is helping on the grill...

Regards,

John

Cool vintage skewer set and delicious cook. It's great that your 9mo is eating quality food. Thats all my 3yo twin girls eat and now have a diverse pallet.
