Marinated Turkey Breast on the Rotisserie

We'd had plans for a week now to have guests and their kids over yesterday. On Friday I made 24 abt's and put in fridge to be ahead of the game. My wife worked a few hours on making two fantastic salads and delicious dessert. I got up at 4:00 am yesterday morning to get a 9 lb. Turkey Breast in some marinade. My wife did housework yesterday and I mowed lawn and got grills set up. Then the phone rang and our guest said they wouldn't be able to come as one of them didn't feel too well. We decided to proceed as the turkey was practically done marinating and everything was ready. Here goes.

Here's my ABT's. These never made it to the grill. They're in a container in the freezer.

My Briner Bucket was a Father's Day Gift from my Wife. This is the 22 qt. bucket. I got the 8 qt. too. It worked great. I like the disk that locks in position and keeps your meat from floating. Brined for 12 hours using a Weber brine. Breast was just under 9 pounds.

Got the turkey on the grill. Using my rotisserie for this cook. Pepper only. Didn't want to chance too much salt after brining.

This turkey was delicious! Moist and very flavorful. Salt level was just perfect. Hope everyone's weekend was nice. Enjoy the rest of it. Thanks for looking!

All I can say is WOW Cliff!!! Your cooks are off the hook!!! I saw your weather forecast in my 4 T's thread. That's crazy hot. I don't think I can hang with that

Holy smokes Cliff, your a one man bbq wrecking crew. Beautiful cook, sad the ABT's didn't make it too the grill.

As they look tasty.

Doesn't get much better than that, Cliff. :)

Thanks for posting about the brining bucket. Looks like a must have.

Was that a fresh breast?

Beautiful cook! That turkey breast... that turkey breast.... & the crashers.... Love that plate!

Everything looks great, Cliff, and you have some leftovers for a few killer turkey sandwiches this week! :)

No Rusty, it was frozen. All I could find. That's why I was cautious with any additional salt.

I should have reworded myself. When I said fresh, I meant was the breast injected with the typical factory brine solution. Since it was frozen, I assume is was pre-brined.

I imagine truly fresh turkey breast is difficult to find.

They're available up here around the holiday season. Didn't see any when I bought this one.

Cliff, outstanding cook and done just right. To bad about the ABT's, I'm sure they will get done very soon.
