Hello All,

Today is Mardi Gras in New Orleans (and everywhere else too). It has been a long weekend of work and fun so I decided to wind it down with a sedate cook for the family. I went with a go-to, Teriyaki Chicken. I decided to kick it up a bit by grilling some pineapple alongside the bird. Here are some pics:

Well this was a great busy holiday meal (yes Mardi Gras is a holiday - a big honking deal around here - you should really try it). I think my OTG could cook this without me. As usual the pineapple was the hit of this show. This time I brushed it down with some of the home-made teriyaki and the results were fabulous. We love us some teriyaki. Great combo John, hard to beat grilled pineapple with some teriyaki on it! Barb and I do the same thing with teriyaki on chicken and beef as we have about a half dozen teriyaki recipes we use.
 
Way to kick off Lent, all looks super John!
Mardi Gras has gotten pretty big in St Louis, so much so that I don't go to the parade anymore, but that could be due to age..............
