Made Some Ribs on the Mini Best Ever

R.I.P. 7/21/2024
Made some ribs on the mini and by far the best I’ve ever done.
Been using Harry Soo,s SL recipe cooking at 275 and wrapping. This time I slowed in down and cooked the ribs at 225-240 two hours on the smoke then one hour foiled. Then 30 minutes unfoiled
I also used Cherry wood instead of hickory.
The texture was spot on and very tender and the flavor using the Cherry wood was excellent.
The rub was my homemade, the only one I’ve used on my ribs since 1999.
Barb grilled up some corn on the bone on the gasser and my homemade BBQ beans were the sides

Hope you enjoy your long holiday weekend

Looks delicious, Rich and Barb. I like cooking my ribs at that temp too, Rich. Great looking plate. Beans and corn look great too.

Gotta love how small smokers turn out great food while at the same time being economical with the charcoal. I always like hearing stories of folks hitting their personal best. Another fantastic looking meal, Rich & Barb!

Awesome cook !

Can any recipe details be released (rub and beans) ?

;)

Sure always willing to share, both the rub and the beans are really easy to do and both can be doubled without any changes.

Stove Top BBQ Beans

1/3 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Ketchup
1/4 Cup Stubb's BBQ Sauce or your favorite BBQ sauce
1 TBS White Vinegar
1 TSP Dry Mustard
1/2 cup Chopped Onion
4 or 5 Slices of Bacon Cut Into Small Pieces
1 Can Kroger Private Selection Tri-Bean Blend
1 Can Low Sodium Pinto Beans

Mix first 5 Ingredients Together In a Small Bowl.
Cook Bacon and Onion Together Until Crisp
Add Bacon and Onion to Sauce Mixture and Put in a Medium Sauce Pan
Drain Beans and Add to Sauce Mixture
Heat on Medium/Low Heat Stirring Often Until Beans are Hot About 5-10 Minutes.

A very simple rub that doesn’t over power the taste of the pork

Rich’s Simple Baby Back Rub

¾ cup packed golden brown sugar
¼ cup Paprika
2 ½ TBLS Course salt
2 ½ TBLS Ground black pepper
1 TBLS Onion powder
½ tsp Cayenne pepper
