Lots of family coming over tomorrow Part 2...
Hi All,
This are the pictures from the cook on Saturday. I posted the single picture in the original post again first for continuity. Sorry, no plated pics. If I had taken one more picture last evening there could have been a photographer/cook murdered by an angry mob in the chow line!!
A great eating feast. Everyone had seconds!! All the guests where hovering around the kitchen island while I pulled the pork. It's always cool to hear the wows when you grab the bone and it comes clean off the butt
. Had to make menacing gestures with the claws to keep stray hands off the pulled pork while preparing it!
The shot from the last post, before going in the fridge for 12 hours:
At 7:30 in the morning - Butt with the rub on and then onto the 22 WSM. One of my probes died but I have spares:
Had a front come through with .96 inches of rain. The umbrella did the trick. No issues:
After 8-hours. Stalled at the usual 162 degrees. Ready to wrap it.
And on the chow line along with Mom's (my wife's nickname) signature potato salad:
And a closeup of the pulled pork:
Another closeup - Mom's homemade coleslaw:
Homemade deserts waiting for the toppings. Key lime and raspberry chocolate cheese cakes:
Thanks for looking!
Best,
Jose
